Shy Newbie

Hi I'm Jenn and I'm a really sparkly new fan of Stellan's, I just recently saw The Exorcist :The Beginning and that did it for me! Um, i really don't know what to say, I'm married and have a 6 year old son and we live in Connecticut, that's in the US for anyone who doesn't know. That's about it, if you want to know anything else please don't hesitate to ask

Welcome to the forum! It is always nice talking to other Stellan fans.

I´m a rather new fan myself still trying to catch up on all his movies which is rather difficult . There´s no need to be shy because like Sabrina said we are only a handful of people posting here but we are dedicated fans.

So which Stellan films have you already seen?

Wow almost went into panic mode, my computer's a little slow today and I couldn't find the reply button.

Ok here's the Stellan films I've seen so far. (BTW I love his name too)

Exorcist The Beginning
Good Will Hunting (though I didn't realize he was there at the time)
Hunt for Red October
Deep Blue Sea (wanted to beat my hubby for that I'm terrified of sharks)
The Glass House (creep creepy movie)
and I'm working on getting a hold of Dominion and of course I'd like to see Mamma Mia, (regrdless of the fact that I intensely dislike ABBA) but I gotta wait for the DVD since unfortunately it's not showing here anymore. I was wondering if there's anywhere to post pictures, I have a bunch I'd like to share with you ladies. (always glad to help out)

I hope you´ll get to see "Dominion" soon. I love it and I even prefer it to The Exorcist. I don´t know if it´s just me preferring Dominion to The Exorcist and it would be nice to hear other opinions.

Now I have 20 Stellan movies and my collection is growing permanently. I`m also still in the process of watching his films and discovering more about him.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on Dominion, I did like The Beginning a lot, I just want to see more of Stellan as a priest. For some reason I'm very attracted to actors who play Priests

I know what you mean. I do like The Exorcist a lot, too, and he looks gorgeous as a priest.

I totally agree that Stellan is someone very special. He´s so adorable.

Oh and by the way, I don´t know but I think it will be alright to post pictures in the Stellan discussion. I am not an admin though.

I did post a link to my photobucket album, most of it is pictures friends from other boards found for me, but there's a few things I found on photobucket and different places, I hope no one has a problem with that

I kinda liked Dominion more than the beginning. But I think it has something to do with the fact, that I've seen Dominion before I saw The Beginning ...

I did the same but i don´t think that is the reason why I prefer Dominion. Nevertheless, I find it very difficult to explain why I prefer Dominion. I think the story is better in a way and there is less action but more happening. That is just my opinion, of course.

I guess you're right. But I rember, when I first saw Dominion, I really loved the beginning-scene. I hat to watch it several times. I thing "The Beginning" hasn't such a strong beginning :-)

I like the first scene of "The Beginning" as well but I agree with you completely about the beginning of "Dominion".
Another reason why I prefer "Dominion" is because there is more chemistry between Merrin and Rachel than between Sarah and Merrin.
"The Beginning" has some good scenes and lines but "Dominion" is awesome.

... I also had this impression, although the relationship is more pointed out in "the beginning".

I like the kissing scene in "The Beginning". It´s a very nice scene. That is quite embarassing..I know.

Well, yes, I´m planning on watching as many Stellan films as possible and it seems that I´ve caught up quickly so far. I hope you´ll get to see more Stellan films soon.

Yes, very good. I also liked these scenes. But the best for me: the action-scenes at the end of the movie. With all that blood... yes I liked it very much. Therefore I prefer "Exorcist - The Beginning", but I also enjoyed "Dominion".

I haven't seen Dominion yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I heard it's really good too but in a different way than The Beginning
